Designated Helicopter Landing Zone at Lewis County General Hospital
Updated: Nov 20, 2019
Ceremonial Fly-In and Ribbon Cutting- It was a picture perfect day for the first ceremonial landing and ribbon cutting for the new designated helicopter landing zone at Lewis County General Hospital. The landing zone allows the helicopter to land without having to use local resources (police, fire department, & search and rescue vehicles), and will reduce the time for medical evacuation by approximately 30 minutes. The project was funded by the Lewis County Hospital Foundation and Elizabeth "Betty" A. Woods in memory of her husband, John B. Woods.
